This site contains a list of links to on-line books (ca 275) in various formats, concerning birds and ornithology.
The books are separated into two categories
Classics, and Modern books. The Dividing line has been put at 1950. This division is a natural one, since like all books on the Internet, the ornithological books are either ones where the Copyright has expired, and thus published before ca 1920, or ones which has been put online by the authors themselves, or with their express permission, and thus usually written during the last decade or two, while there are very few books online that were published during the first half of the twentieth century. Books have been included without regard to language, and at the moment the list includes works in nine languages (English, French, German, Hungarian, Portuguese, Spanish, Danish, Swedish and Latin)The majority of these books are in PDF format which requires Adobe´s Acrobat Reader to be installed for reading to be possible.
